My D&T Product

My product, or rather junk, was finally complete.

I took real long to do this junk, it is simple yet I spent like months to complete. This product have loads and loads of flaws, I just can't be bothered to improve on it anymore, because I didn't really expect good grades for my junk. Just focus more on Journal and Presentation Board then.

This was part of my product in the 1st place, after my teacher "brainwashed" me, I changed the outlook and the function of it. Anyway it looks kinda shit to me also.

*Ta Da*! The "enhanced" version. Much better than the previous one but sadly it still falls under my shit category. This is Combination Part Number 1.

I love wood. It is so much convenient to use compared to acrylic. Do you know that I bend that acrylic strip for umpteen times and still failed? I keep bending till I really flared up and used back the original one (it was damaged but I don't care anymore). This is Combination Part Number 2.

Hey wait wait, don't mistaken please. This mug was not made by me. Don't ask me where I get it because I going to send this for my O level D&T, might not get it back also (this is the last photo of it, very very precious). Never mind, take it as an sacrifice in exchange for my pathetic marks. Combination Part Number 3.

When 3 Combination Parts meets together, it forms a nicely done junk. How it works? It adds on extra burden to the user, that's the most I can said.

You know where this is? In the "School Of Choice" of course. My junk is so well protected under this room, with 2 hard-steel wall, nobody can break in and steal it.

Erm...who wanna steal it anyway?

Fun PE Games

I had Captain Ball and Frisbee competition against my class for PE today. It was really fun. Even though the weather was hot and humid, and the parade square was burning like fire, but that doesn't stopped us from challenging each other.

My group was one of the best, with YK, Tabby and MH, others will only need to give us the winning card. My team were damn active, they show me what was meant by never ever gave up. We play continuous for 6 rounds, engaging with other teams as well. It was a never-ending thrilling game.

During the game, my old habits returned. I lose some points which could be easily gotten, due to my slow in passing and lousy stamina. Although my mistakes could cost my team to lose, but instead we won every game.

Next we challenge the Champion Team, formed by my friends that are good in sports. Of course they can't be underestimated, the moment the game started, I had a taste of their power. Everyone were running like mad, I tried to keep up but failed. I knew my face were reddish in color, because I felt my face was burning, as though my blood were rushing to get out.

Once the game ended, I was quite relieved. Here comes my Iced Milo!

1st Photo Featured

Something unexpected happened. Remember the photo I took when I went to Suntec City for the World Book Fair? Yes it was featured in today's Straits Times IN Section!

I was kinda surprised, because the photo I sent were weeks ago, so I didn't really looked forward in being chosen.

That's my name! That's me!

Funny thing was my friends all started to asked me "any prize?", I was dazed as I don't know how to answer them at that time.

Even if there is, I'm not really enthusiastic about the prize because when I sent in my entry, it was just a matter of interest and curiosity. I was slightly embarrassed when the news spread across the class.

I took the IN Section back home, looked at the photo twice (or even thrice), thinking that something was really lacking in it. The title I put was "Fountain Of Wealth", as you know a fountain should have water pouring down, yes that's the problem. The photo doesn't show what a fountain should looked like.

Looks like I still have a lot more to learn.

Ice And Water

I nearly forget there's a game called Ice and Water.

The last time I interact with this game were back in Primary School, and didn't had much impression about it also. I always love to play chasing games in big places like the school, where you can have fun with friends, sweating along the way, and you never know what you gonna find during your hiding time.

Today in school were kinda unique, as it was raining heavily, so a group of us stayed and play the game. Played 2 rounds, and I was sweating all over. The fun of this game never ceased, more people play, more excitement.

During the 1st round, I was being jammed by MH and Jovi, all because I want to save my friends but instead I offered myself to them (they were catcher). I remembered during the second round, I am the Water and thus had to run and hide. I immediately ran to the outside of the PA system room and stand behind the wall.

I'm really sure no one will notice that place because it is quite deserted also. I wait and wait, no one came, so I played my handphone instead. During that period of time, I saw MH and IV get caught. No comments.

Finally one catcher came beside me, then I act as if he was transparent and continued with my phone. Probably he thought I was being "freeze" as I stand there like a stuck pig, so he didn't "freeze" me at all but instead, he walked away. Phew, stay calm and everything will be fine.

Joshua saw me, I head to the Art Room staircase and ran down to the almost 1st floor, sat there panting. Escaped again, I kinda rejoiced with my escaping skills. In the end the catcher won 2 rounds, of cause Water lose because there isn't any time limit.

By the way 1st time in my life in WGS that I realised there were quite a few good hiding places. I bet no one will notice, as long as you stay calm and quiet.

Anyway, this bring back some memories in the past, as long as the game is remembered, there's no way it can be lost.

遗失身份征 = 不必要的麻烦

不知何故，我似乎当了一天的 “无身份人”。就在我考完 ‘O’ 水准听力考试的当儿，我完全忘了身份证这么重要的文件。可能我还陶醉之中，脑子根本无法集中。可笑的是，我这一忘，忘到了明天早上。

当时我真的很着急，因为我一直已为身份证在我的钱包里，打开一看，空的。那时我就开始回想到底遗留在哪，但是完全毫无头绪。我想这次死定了，被老妈臭骂一顿之后，赶紧赶到学校。

到 了学校之后也只是让我的心情跌入更深的谷底。真的找不到，我简直快要发狂了。原来不管是什么东西，只要是属于自己的，一旦失去就等于其他所发生的事已毫无 意义。

说真的，在找到身份证之前，我觉得没必要多说话，心想自己闯下的祸所造成的严重后果就已经够头痛了。找或找不回，就在这一线之差，如果找到，那当然是最好，如果找不到呢？除了损失$100，我会加重父母的负当，也为他们增添不必要的麻烦。一直到了体育课时，才感觉较乐观些。

我真的很感谢帮助我的朋友，没有你们我真不知该如何是好，我所缺的你们已经帮我祢补了。真正要感谢的还是老师，令我逃过一劫。在老师归还我的身份证后，我的心情顿时好转，但还是无法原谅自己的过错。

想不到，此时此刻，真的是千钧一发。

Pest-timonial

Recently, my form teacher informed us about writing our own testimonial.

Just like any other testimonial in the past, it is a certificate written by teachers according to our achievements, CCA, CIP and so on. A student of course with lots of achievement will have a long list in his testimonial, what if he doesn't? Thanks to the system, I realised I should participate more school events in the past. But I can't change the facts now.

Should we count ourselves "lucky" to fall into the new MOE testimonial system? Well there are good and bad, depends on how well you actually care about your records.

My records were bad, detentions more than 20, in-house suspension, skipped CCA, hate it. I felt that my future in Singapore will be bind by this pest. You know why is it called pest? Pest can't be extinct and is everywhere, it follows you. Testimonials and certs are needed in Singapore, no matter what you have to present it to your employee.

If you can think of a better name, tell me please.

I managed to squeeze out a few in my testimonial, if without the Sports Day category, my achievements didn't even reached half of a A4 sized paper. Many of my friends had participate some CIP activities which I don't, this is where I lose. Maybe they participate for the points? or really interested in it? I'm not sure about this.

Anyway there's no harm in doing it, so why not? Hopefully the part whereby my teacher are writing about my attitudes towards studies can recover my losses. Just to tell you, teacher's level of understanding toward their students is vital for this part.

Although "School Of Choice" is our "second" home, but I can tell you it only fits certain people. Some teachers understand some students better than the others, teacher are human too, of course they have their own way of favoritism, it was a continuous cycle. Under such circumstances, can we still say teachers really understand us? Worse, my Sec One and Sec 2 form teachers had left the school.

What I mean also was the whole CIP programmes had lost the values in it. Shouldn't you be interested first before you participate right?

HellBoy 2 - The Golden Army

Movie has always been part of my entertainment. That's not going to be changed. As a student, the cost of a movie ticket was $6 compared to adult which cost $10, so why not use this once and only chance? And especially this year, other than my O Levels, great movies showcase were more than my 10 fingers. Just can't resist this temptation.

Friday again, the day whereby I always watched movie. Today went with the guys for HellBoy 2, it was quite an action packed movie, I'm not so disappointed after viewing it.

Approximately 2 hours, average I can say. HellBoy was simply stunning with his "Baby" big gun, the devil just clear his enemies without any trouble.

In between of the movie were quite hilarious, so it wasn't totally an action movie, but also a comedy. The princess featured in HellBoy 2 looks familiar to me though, but I just couldn't figured out what was her name.

Drugs Assembly Talk 2008

There was an assembly talk at the end of the day, I find it meaningful and also the best assembly talk. Mostly past years assembly talks didn't catch my attention, I was half-asleep most of the time. One talk recently, introducing my school new VP, hello is there a need for this? Well previous Vice-Principals didn't did that right? Luckily I had O Level Chinese Oral, if not I might sleep throughout the introduction.

There were times where performance takes place in the hall, but usually it end up as boring, only a few managed to attract the whole school. That's what I think, but I did saw some people enjoying almost every talks, cheering as loud as they can even there is no whatever reason for them to do so.

But today's talk was common from the past till now, Drug Abuse. 10 years of studies, I have attended countless "kNOw Drugs" talks, but this is one special case. The speaker was well prepared, fluent, and also he remind us about the consequences for abusing and trafficking drugs. I'm really attentive, so do other students in the hall. Although the slides were simply compiled, but all the points were there and most important, understandable.

Last few months, my uncle and father told me that they saw students sniffing glue by the staircase just right outside my house. I did not saw anyone sniffing glue, but I did saw used syringes though, terrifying isn't it?

Hancock

Same as usual, went with the guys and have a go in the new movie Hancock. If you want to know the movie nice or not, I shall tell you now.

Actually its 50% nice and 50% not nice, Hancock starts out quite interesting and hilarious, but in the later part was weird though.

Will Smith was a destroyer hero in the movie, hated by people in the city, as a destroyer, he saves people but never forget to damage buildings and roads along the way.

The storyline was kinda unclear, it was like you are watching 2 movies in 1. At first I thought Will Smith was the only one with the power, suddenly the lead actress (didn't went to find out her name) had the same power as Hancock, then all kinds of things pop out.

Seriously speaking Hancock could be further elaborate, some parts were just too short.

O Level Chinese Oral Exam

Can anyone tell me the purpose of Oral exams?

For me I have think of 3 purposes. Firstly, Oral will determine your grades. From a grade A to a grade B, or vice verse.

Secondly, you gonna feel troubled few days after your Oral. Because you will felt really really vexed when you didn't get to said what you think of and the outcome did not go as well as you think before.

Lastly, Oral exams shivered the hell out of you. Its true though, I was quite calm before it was my turn, when I go in and started to read the passage, my nervous system started to go haywire.

My topic for today was "Nowadays why so many students went for Polytechnic and not Junior College instead?" (I translated from Chinese). Quite simple right? You may think the answer is a piece of cake, but think again, is it so easy to brainstorm the answer when there are 2 pair of eyes focusing on you? My "slow-minded" brain make it worse, chances that I sort my answer in a proper manner was slim.

And so the invigilators ask about my view, I started to talk human-like, but it seems that I didn't last that very long.

One minute after I speak my view, I'm stuck and of course keep mum and brainstorm, problem is I was looking at the male invigilator and he was looking at me, staring me with no expression, how embarrassing was that? I'm not really sure how well I did, but the male invigilator ask me 2 questions, and I answer pretty short and simple, around 6 minutes and I'm out.

As I was 2nd thus released earlier than the others, but were told to stay probation until 3pm. In the meantime chatted with Carol the 1st, then I realised I miss a point. During my D&T intensive, not really intensive because I didn't really put in my mind doing the product, but instead I was busy asking those who finished the oral "how many questions the teacher ask you?"

Shocked, and worried, all I get was "1 question", but I was asked 2?!? This 2 bloody questions really bothers me until now, does that mean my content was insufficient?
